Modernization of Production at KMLT^® – Supported by the Free State of Saxony
To further enhance our precision and competitiveness, new capacity was created at our Neukirch site with the construction of a new warehouse in 2025. This continues our trend of continuously investing in our machinery and facilities. Sustainability is a particular focus: Nearly the entire roof area of all buildings at the site has been equipped with photovoltaic modules. In addition, new high-tech machines were installed, particularly in the field of laser micro-machining / USP laser processing.
These forward-looking projects are significantly co-financed by the State of Saxony.

Project: “Improvement of the Regional Economic Structure” (GRW)
Objective: Expansion of the capacities of a laser micro-machining company through investments in the construction of a new warehouse and the purchase of new machinery.

This measure is co-financed by tax revenues based on the budget approved by the Saxon State Parliament.

 

KMLT GmbH is planning a comprehensive optimization of its internal management processes. Due to the ever-increasing demands for precision, efficiency, and documentation in contract manufacturing, the management of production, human resources, and administrative processes requires an efficient, digitally supported structure. The goal of the project is to increase the efficiency, transparency, and traceability of our operational processes through modern software solutions and an improved IT infrastructure. A first key milestone is the implementation of a modern human resources management system (Sage HR). Another important step is the digitization of invoice and quote review. By expanding the existing DMS with automated workflows for the digital processing of invoices and quotes, manual review processes will be reduced, approvals accelerated, and archiving made audit-proof. To ensure the performance of these digital systems, modernizing the IT infrastructure is another important step. The implementation of a new HP ProLiant server creates a high-performance and fail-safe environment that ensures the reliable operation of the software solutions. An additional OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) module for our ERP system is intended to improve manufacturing processes.

KMLT GmbH develops innovative solutions for laser micromachining at its Neukirch/Lausitz facility. A project funded in 2025 focused on the validation of high-precision calibration stencils.

These templates are key components for modern electronics manufacturing (LTCC technology) and metal-based additive manufacturing (3D laser printing) . By optimizing our validation processes, we ensure that highly sensitive systems in medical technology as well as aerospace can operate with the highest repeatability.
